Holly Hunter, an American actress and film producer is known for her acclaimed performances in movies like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. The movie Piano won her several awards, among them an Oscar. Her career began as an actress on Broadway as well as Off Broadway. Acting has always been her love of life. When she was in fifth grade, she played Helen Keller in an original show. Mumps led her to lose hearing in one of her ear, however this did not stop her from following her dreams. In her teens she studied drama, and eventually moved into New York City. She was introduced to Beth Henley in an elevator and they collaborated in Broadway Crimes of the Heart the first movie Hunter made. Her first film role came following her move to Los Angeles. Holly Hunter has been in several television series, films and movies over the course of a 30-year career. Holly Hunter won a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in addition to the Women in Film Lucy Award.
